Rough-terrain hydroseeding, conventional seeding and mulching, erosion-control device installation, basin conversion, helicopter hydroseeding, temporary access bridge, basin hydroseeding, pipeline hydro-mulching, and drone seeding for GC, EPC, and utility programs.

01

Rough-terrain hydroseeding

What it is

Tracked hydroseeding of graded ground where wheeled equipment cannot hold a line: slopes, right-of-way corridors, and pads with limited access. The mix follows the soil test, and application is recorded.

When a GC calls it

Call it when the area that has to be stabilized is the area a conventional crew keeps declining, or when the specification names amendment rates that have to be documented.

02

Conventional seeding and mulching

What it is

Drill or broadcast seeding with straw or blanket cover on ground that a machine can work in the ordinary way, matched to the same seed and amendment specification.

When a GC calls it

Call it when the terrain is workable and the cheaper method still meets the permit and the inspector's expectation.

03

Erosion-control device (ECD) installation

What it is

Installation of the erosion and sediment control devices on the plan (silt fence, check dams, inlet protection, blanket and matting) placed where the drawing puts them and maintained until stabilization is accepted.

When a GC calls it

Call it when a phase cannot open, or cannot be inspected, until the control measures are in and holding.

04

Basin conversion

What it is

Converting temporary sediment basins to their permanent condition: reshaping, outlet work, stabilization of side slopes and perimeter, and the mowing that keeps the converted basin presentable through close-out.

When a GC calls it

Call it at the point the temporary control has to become the permanent feature the inspector signs off on.

05

Helicopter hydroseeding

What it is

Seed, mulch, and specified amendments applied from the air when a truck or tracked unit cannot reach the slope.

When a GC calls it

A GC calls this when the ground is too steep, the ROW is too remote, or cutting access would take longer than the work.

06

Temporary access bridge

What it is

Temporary bridging so crews, trucks, and tracked equipment can cross wet ground, ditches, or streams without tearing up the corridor or waiting on a permanent structure.

When a GC calls it

Call it when the only way onto the work is through wet or protected ground, and a temporary span is what keeps the job moving.

07

Basin hydroseeding

What it is

Hydroseeding of sediment-basin side slopes, benches, and perimeter so the basin holds through the next rain and is ready for conversion.

When a GC calls it

Call it when a basin is in and the slopes have to be vegetated before the inspector or the next storm.

08

Pipeline hydro-mulching

What it is

Hydro-mulch on pipeline right-of-way (the trench line, spoil, and restored corridor) specified to the soil test and recorded so the ROW stays stable until the stand is accepted.

When a GC calls it

Call it when the pipe is in and the corridor has to be covered before the next rain or the next inspection.

09

Drone seeding

What it is

Seed applied by drone over ground a machine should not drive: solar arrays between and under tracker rows, finished slopes, basin interiors, and areas closed to traffic. Application follows the same seed and amendment specification and is recorded like any other pass.

When a GC calls it

Call it when the ground is planted equipment or fresh grade that cannot take wheels or tracks, or when access is closed and the seeding still has to happen on schedule.

Stabilized. Vegetated. Documented.

Groundwork is ground you stop worrying about.
